Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

Responsibilities:
2 j( ]! Y* }) V# q1 Y- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth T* _$ e3 _4 ~' `1 X
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling$ G* Z- L1 n. I' E5 h
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups; r! c$ M5 E; Z% C5 b" i) Y, W
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs' I. p' `8 Q- [2 i# T( o! K% I3 c
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health6 [3 Y+ u/ o( M U2 [5 ]

Key Qualifications:
/ j9 }. n; w! h5 O- [* g* \ O8 F) {- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
1 d, G4 l& d+ x$ `- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement$ ~+ S5 z# O$ N4 O) Q; T
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
8 q7 ?1 R# ? ~, B1 X- Experience doing program development
# V- Z2 U0 |& _. ?8 l- Strong organizational and coordination skills
' N: v# |, F: \" U1 R) i( I- Self-directed and able to take initiative( k% g' r3 c' N& I9 _" x
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset5 }( ]4 D! d" m7 S' ?7 O7 T0 s8 ]
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license& q" R4 n' D/ n. C. L3 S
