Responsibilities:% [. u0 C6 m `' h7 O; q4 y7 U' `! ~
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth( V! O0 R0 p5 Z9 ^' v9 @; I
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
# o4 h& }8 m5 H& Z$ U& p- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
$ e; u7 }# W! y0 H7 r- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs v3 j2 C' e/ W# O" g+ o. W
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications: T. w' ?) i+ [
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
F: o7 j9 X# X7 d: T% X- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement! L% b' r6 J0 `, s
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
$ ~6 m7 T7 Q t- v- Experience doing program development5 N+ I- ?/ F; O
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
0 O, n7 m5 ^" n; r \+ M! I, W( D9 L- Self-directed and able to take initiative
6 C5 ^6 t9 l/ q8 n/ h& O" s* s- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset8 `1 j5 f7 R& b+ j' \
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license6 b! [' b6 D7 w a- v

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
