9 z' p; W; `( A* \: i7 ]4 d- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
3 n+ V) E1 B. \$ G7 C. m' J& I) G$ _- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
. o5 @+ I: L1 T" W% L" e5 I+ f- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups( X' z& _0 m2 C. I
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs5 V7 A3 O Z3 W
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health+ |$ q2 w" |4 K) M/ l5 m% i- w7 R& {

Key Qualifications:+ s2 l; G+ g, b" m- @
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences8 T7 J6 Y b7 b4 Z
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement& |5 U: Z; F! z8 R
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others' {, x4 `4 y4 O8 o
- Experience doing program development7 E3 m+ L4 c6 C9 y* ]
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
5 j( H: l$ z9 J/ i- Self-directed and able to take initiative
/ [& R; X0 x8 d$ S$ ]- M- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
. j+ p+ D0 g5 P* L- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license& Z# p: E1 \. ?3 L( X

1 _' h* q6 K4 `; t# }- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
& o% u$ e/ a: p8 E: F, O- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities9 K! e& h Y2 e8 L! `
- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
+ m; o) L% P) q4 r6 Z. I( `- p# X- Skills in marketing & promotions
