- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
( U9 S! y7 u6 `8 j. J* V. L- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling9 u. n/ o$ \% ?: t6 `. o0 L
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
; H' K' e- ]9 p: O6 C% Y- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs! g ~9 Y, O5 Q! j
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

5 f' g5 D# v8 k4 O+ T! oKey Qualifications:
5 j9 a# H: p, M: m- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences& }, k6 l& a- G- w+ c' ^* l) R' \
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement5 ^9 G% X3 P2 `! U1 A, |7 K ~7 ]3 Q5 @
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others7 X+ V0 \1 w% R, }( ~0 n
- Experience doing program development
1 v) E2 J3 X5 Z- W4 c2 K- Strong organizational and coordination skills
) T/ s6 t8 u3 `2 t. Z- Self-directed and able to take initiative
% L L8 g+ N$ b+ ? O- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
! f R( T# i, H/ k( \$ B f, @- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license( Y# ^$ @6 k: z

Assets:

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

- Skills in marketing & promotions
