爱城冰雕展Ice on Whyte 2010（1月14-24日）

一年一度的爱城冰雕展Ice on Whyte Winter Festival 又来了！
9 k2 |" g% F9 u& J6 M: I规模嘛，还是屯规模的，别跟哈尔滨什么的大城市冰雕比哦。我们连着去两年了，孩子们喜欢，所以，规模小也就小吧！反正也收费也不贵，

3 x4 ?: |. B1 o* Y" c7 f地点： Festival park ，85 avenue & 104 street . edmonton . alberta
时间：
9 A$ a# {7 P& a6 x$ R- Wmonday - friday 2 pm - 10 pm， saturday & sunday 10 am - 10 pm
收费： $2 per person.
/ e: d% l8 N) D1 n8 m/ M) V( [坐冰滑梯额外收费，好象每人每次一元？
+ B: H" r; j4 }5 G估计今年规模和情节和往年类似，冰雕的小型迷宫, 冰雕的城堡，冰滑梯，在大帐篷里现场演奏的音乐、talk show。
+ l# X( @2 N7 U" A) @如果捐钱的话，可得到一杯热巧克力和咖啡，应该还有爆米花和热狗可现场购买。

An ice carving competition launches the festival. Artists from Canada, Sweden, Africa, New Zealand and Russia create spectacular ice carvings from January 14 - 16. An awards ceremony on Saturday, January 16 at 2 pm proclaims the winning sculptures.  Visitors can vote on their favourite sculpture on Saturday, Jan 16 between 10 am and 1 pm for the People's Choice Award.

This year’s festival is filled with plenty of outdoor fun for visitors of all ages. The festival site includes a furnished Ice Castle, a giant Ice Slide, an interactive maze for children, live musical entertainment and a heated tent, the Van Houtte Cafe, where visitors can enjoy a cup coffee or hot chocolate by making a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

我周五晚，周六早上，周日早上都排满了。目前周六下午有空。好象你女儿有课周六下午？

做好心理准备....离哈尔滨冰雕展还很远很远...但哄哄孩子开心，小见识一下还是可以嘀。
) `. j  o* e2 @/ N4 P  ^去年，我们去时，还有交3元钱，现场参现雕琢冰块的活动，带孩子们摆弄了几下。今年好象这个活动只向学校团体开放，还全排满了。

The Ice on Whyte Festival is in the park on 104 Street and 85 Avenue in Edmonton and is open weekdays from 2 pm to 10 pm and weekends from 10 am to 10 pm.
