Position Title: Outreach Worker
Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

Job Description
+ m+ p6 b. H2 M( k* W-        promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
( H/ [* \$ `* f6 C& k- j-        promote Centre and ISP programs  in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
7 ]8 i0 I  ~- ^# O: y4 T-        develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
-        recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-        promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-        outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-        attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
' D. v3 t' Q2 s6 n. c. T! T: d7 \-        adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-        report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-        recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-        assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-        other duties as assigned

* K. ?3 {' v$ i4 }-        degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
7 a6 F& H* C9 Y. X/ o, j* f% B( {-        knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-        good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-        fluent in English and Chinese
2 }! K% w9 P; ~1 u0 V-        good interpersonal and people skills
2 \+ @0 j4 u/ G; e9 e) Z+ Z-        valid driver’s license
