In this and any flu season, it is important to take responsibility for

influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close
?2 n/ K" o$ i, R/ u5 Econtact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and
; {' A; m: P7 rdoorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and
7 W% e+ K" O" N9 X! y2 wthen unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.' w4 O: Z: l; t! ^6 Z" W( _
Practicing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your! x; m) v# n4 i. a, u4 o- L
cough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta3 f" N: W! P O$ I
Health and Wellness will greatly assist in minimizing the chance of2 t! M. l& q; q
infection.
