C8 T. _2 |( a9 W9 Y( I7 H9 Y( Y The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
# D# [! j% O& k3 E' n. j$ C9 A7 y-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
: R/ D9 |4 T7 }3 A1 q! x4 `-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
6 S- [" y) V+ \2 X6 K: g-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
  X5 |: F" I. A) k0 }-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

: I, r4 N  v" `, m# x% J$ x  F - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
- S2 G, _' u+ z7 N-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
4 y8 E  N! j0 z-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
9 i! |* x% J8 |, d9 p  j-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
