THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
9 r  ~& c7 V9 B  o( J24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
5 j% x  I3 T5 B# v" [All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
9 \" S5 ]0 `8 C" _8 R: E; B•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
& f5 J1 ~% n" k) ~% q/ s•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
! J& C+ x. U( {+ X' L) f•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
- k4 K4 C7 Z& _; y" V1 G* z•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
) @$ ?; ?* f3 \1 S6 C8 @* j! F•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
9 K4 ^2 e. j. r  M: L7 qThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
