8 h* F. Y+ }& BTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:! m$ d/ @* V, T% C
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
* c, ?" v: A8 q$ Y: j* z' pThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
' s& r$ D3 J5 z6 o6 o2 rEligibility Criteria% x H9 p; y( M* z! B
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
2 [! w$ a* u+ b% c2 d•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less' G a: s0 j. ^$ s
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
8 d( N" d6 ~9 t- L# b•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English2 y: `+ ]% G8 o" i2 W
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
* [/ Q: c' s8 o7 S4 G) |) k* A4 \7 K6 j•No prior Canadian work experience in their field" E& K6 O4 u) b2 S6 r
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
; W5 P- O0 {, G( G( `$ ]•Be eligible to work in Canada
- x: ^# w, ~7 ~3 G$ m•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months. This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.; E4 x7 p* J3 c6 T$ J3 |: ^
