THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

8 w5 @- s. o: x: j3 ?% M0 r% AThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations. U8 h. `: K* W( |" S% s
Eligibility Criteria. G- W9 M; E8 _) e& p1 r
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:3 }$ s3 W0 {8 i q7 w% n$ C: A% W9 Q! [
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less4 A: N, q; t$ F8 J6 W% c- E
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education8 L) }9 W/ E- t0 r& d0 [
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English; e: c& a7 u1 I# v4 _1 F
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada 4 y: K7 o. q, N: S' g5 ]3 V
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
3 _! L, Z( q$ I1 O3 ~& ]•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
, ~* d4 f5 x; [•Be eligible to work in Canada, _/ K: b" Z" n2 T; g
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning2 \( L; E8 L, \/ i! z% w
Time Commitment
1 T* i5 ]. f K7 WThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months. This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.1 }& p( g2 _" s \3 Y! _
