THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
5 ]* Q1 {5 }3 y5 r" ?This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
4 U! q8 \$ w! i, P9 `! O7 DEligibility Criteria
( Z1 k' ^, {7 lAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
& }: ^1 _/ X/ S' }•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
. Y! b; W9 n9 w. i  T' K2 f•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
; g! R0 e# x6 e% v# k6 l•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less

•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

& B1 i! p! {( E7 |9 Z! I•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
