EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.2 i$ d1 w. x9 E- x5 s( r2 d+ O7 b0 Q

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.- _2 E2 y5 X8 v
) [& {; d/ ~* s7 s! d3 n- y! [Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.4 ^& F1 m& ^% V1 t, G9 O" L: S
5 A+ p% k" }3 X. i8 wPolice say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.% P* N1 w: o$ x, r+ Q

Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
