Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: " {" D1 ~) G$ _& F% W( u

Duties: Special Events
6 |, Q: ^- H& _& U9 D% v. iPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
" z% v5 e2 P0 m6 U" b5 b2 Z· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 5 m' ^: I6 u% y8 `
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
9 K, P' i6 e" ?with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the # U! s- e) V/ T8 X
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure - D; L8 H7 _0 a- j4 J
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. . U' m# Q# o0 O" T2 o
· Attend and manage Special Events
" H$ K1 \8 R& l6 C2 P· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ' U0 R1 a& E$ F5 R
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
) w6 ^/ p, n( ]( w% p. C5 J· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 2 S8 l8 I0 h# ~) D) _; o4 h
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
- K9 n/ _! k. _; V3 z L· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 3 O. [5 H( k8 S- X s' A- B1 I. C
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications:
8 p8 I$ Z; z) U6 M) f ~· Completion of 12th/ |- ]+ G4 [, _* y& a
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation , D5 d/ X( Y: a" f8 w5 a; C" J
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. _1 M2 H. _* {( M# a5 n' g- ? p) G
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
- A$ o# t% h. B9 M1 r% F- r5 Eexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events ) `: Y8 Y+ `* I) d
· Experience working with and managing volunteers

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
