2 t+ Z# W- c% |# k2 Y8 `( j- C8 Z: sPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
9 S9 G" w" g- U4 g y· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee + j" F& |1 J K
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
1 w& K! s7 \, _8 c6 _9 Hwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
2 L: x7 s/ I; G T0 N1 [% X) }' V r! badvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
. E6 Y7 k2 V& h4 C+ M7 {; F4 O* ` oset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
) @, E6 ^8 i5 O* Y2 p! V& ~6 n0 N2 T· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
, h. B% F4 p$ ?- H9 k# P3 }· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
; N t# x- I# P( P5 v* u· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
/ p! p/ \. n6 b3 f7 ~% W, a· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 8 o' w5 `) [3 w% P
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

. V: v/ N4 b+ Z, h; S/ h/ OQualifications:
+ i$ }" |8 K3 J- h0 b2 I* x· Completion of 12th
' M* U: z, X# a- z% q Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
" g/ R9 C7 d5 T- S/ YAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
( @$ L) g, S) A) K· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
+ @/ p0 \- m1 S H" S2 ?* \5 B0 n3 {experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
2 t8 j/ \; ]; n; ]2 s+ O3 T4 K· Experience working with and managing volunteers 4 M' U' g; f' R% W, }1 A5 o
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors ( n) \9 F; H3 T) M: u' d
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events W+ R' I) x: C- S% e' Z; H
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
