Duties
1 X/ A/ U& n$ }, W( B0 G7 ~% S
- @& I' K, N: ~  P. n) \, _    * Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory
    * Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr
1 X6 C  ]. O, d5 H    * Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps
0 v$ e& V; a) c    * Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations
+ u& S- R: |& G. y+ p' F    * Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

. o* A+ p" h9 O    * Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
    * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation
    * Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers

( u4 s; I; j3 y, r( [( G    * Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset
