* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory5 }( b+ q% w* P% h! q: U7 g
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr. J! P1 G) V+ z0 f) Z4 w4 }. j4 D
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps
2 B+ K: {* L0 l8 _+ I * Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations/ _9 k% T# E$ p6 U
* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations) K5 F, L6 M% L; X

Qualifications
2 [: p4 e; Z, Y/ n. ?6 f, f0 {. c
' C k; W2 N' L9 }3 l( U) E * Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred+ i; c6 S5 `- i' b" c! b6 E0 Y. P
* Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation
# Y s x* ^4 M$ t * Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers

* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset
