program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work3 D) k) Y4 t! `6 p
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as

Candidate Profile:

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
7 f M# M. G9 W. f" W7 _citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:" V5 t/ _7 @; w l- m& E- W
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
9 \! O# Y+ y& ]& S3 ], O( c" i* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-- m; n' O. _. @" o% n" w
secondary education
8 a4 i' z% K( I* J, T* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand( P4 U2 k/ v) I" r
occupation
9 K2 ?; ]" V( P" p* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
