Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors" y! _0 I' }) |# k% l2 Q
• Answer multi line telephone system- Z `$ |$ w* j2 X4 N3 {1 R
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries' ?' h( d. y0 y2 y. E# b. F
• Arrange courier services for all departments
) N' l# C; v- @* ]# V• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration

• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries, B. c- h8 j2 I, R1 W5 m9 ?. X o
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency * k; f) P8 j$ |3 z
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration u9 m* B' K9 V
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers

• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.6 R" R Q, d+ m9 Z. q2 U
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset% b6 k5 }& P& F
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills . ^+ o. z _9 J2 w6 N. ~
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
