# r1 G# l [( a5 M! v8 VKey Responsibilities Include:
8 _2 h j- K9 P: m( S) l! I QActivity Planning and Daily Activity1 ^( h3 a8 n0 V
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
+ z/ r1 s1 ^0 g) E• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. ! {. i+ S( ?8 ^3 E% h4 k' Y
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
8 @3 V' r4 u2 A6 u1 l- g• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants./ w% Y5 D" y6 ~9 b5 z& |9 p! i! f
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
`0 {, ~4 T7 C4 Y• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:% J7 |& \0 r9 S! S1 E! g
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
/ v f6 I1 S: C' z) n• Experience with children
# B& J, S0 I- |2 f• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth * P! [; [2 o: Q# Y% t4 I: J
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.1 L/ `/ F8 \9 o j: E3 T) ~" j4 z
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
; E+ _* K6 A( A. W4 b* b• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
- Y8 Z# n. \/ k4 V• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 0 q+ _! h3 b1 [" |8 m% ~! L7 D% A
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check + z3 L+ F W; f& j# g( v
% Z, O# R7 t1 V8 C2 D" C. p
In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
