- Y+ ~& R- B3 V$ |& VKey Responsibilities Include:
& Y& k$ F6 V# o8 [Activity Planning and Daily Activity
! p4 E& e k) b5 q; A• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.3 k! z3 ?$ z* S2 N
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. ) r& A8 }! n' M. [. s8 Z
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, % N8 T) E7 l5 P; S% k- q
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.: K# }, w' Z5 a% w2 c7 J
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.8 M. h' F) _0 r
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.7 X* l0 c5 ~2 `; z7 U9 J
* x/ }8 K( C# x/ I, w( v2 NThe successful candidate will have:/ h& ?+ d3 b* \. t
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
2 t, w4 w: n; T1 s0 g c• Experience with children
3 Z. u6 D/ N1 [& X) o• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
" P, H( _" \) O+ R' l: X* G5 l- L Z% ]• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.# ^7 m& G4 z& u0 a6 |+ k* T( x$ N% K
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
4 n% `1 D& s3 T- l5 `• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
, ]# Z* _$ ~ ]• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
, G* U2 U9 t5 j' G/ F4 g- j• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
