) `1 ^2 ^% U$ x# s- FBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

; H4 k  s* T/ R4 vKey Responsibilities Include:
9 h4 R8 O! f! S( u; l6 gActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
9 X! X1 X$ W* }$ n•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
' I( w  l* }. O* C5 j•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
) u/ P" C3 x  U# E2 C$ p•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
  h/ t% u! y/ |•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
1 M  J1 s+ m! k& N1 R/ Z: u2 f•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
