" G) m1 W: p$ ]3 ?4 q' YBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff. 3 j' K# ^& n$ l- N- @
' e4 X+ I/ f5 p2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students

) J& [! Y7 a) o+ }7 f1 O7 e8 w9 uActivity Planning and Daily Activity
; q9 O; j& t7 q" j• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
j6 `5 {2 o9 L( u) O" e2 r5 ? @• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
j1 N7 W. S9 t( t2 B- S% V$ A/ h• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
9 V' m5 K/ x$ I# X, S) D7 Y• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
1 _7 i, e& `% ?4 ?- V/ o• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.# U; I$ Q+ }& v
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal." k- A7 k6 l8 ]( j$ o9 G

The successful candidate will have:7 y T! K d7 O& G% U; W
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
) J5 _$ {2 B" ~1 x9 w' N0 {% ]+ M• Experience with children
' N9 U/ ]+ {$ r) x4 s8 R- A• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
/ _$ N. @. ^& y- ~# s3 X• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.; }/ W2 H7 R7 B& A) i4 i+ Q; u
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
