' m+ l/ j: A! CBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff. ; A7 ~' A7 x2 A/ f* ~' x
* f: K) s; h( z( a3 A7 E2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students ) u& {5 T* h4 G6 O9 l. a0 t
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)+ Y r! M& o. w1 \1 E) A

Key Responsibilities Include6 Q( G( Z' w' \. p& |
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
9 O+ B9 k" ~; q# W3 U' i• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.) ?7 z/ Q. z& P/ _& y6 p
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. 4 T+ p; h( `! \0 k$ Y0 l
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, * W& Q9 B; `" \4 ^* s( J2 i
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
# u- K( ~1 l3 K• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
1 X6 l* t$ d6 H6 Z• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.1 F3 ]7 F8 R, w" u3 J% l

The successful candidate will have:
: u7 g5 Z! b+ }5 A8 H6 f' W• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
+ w4 d( n! j7 z• Experience with children
% G# V# p- B" D; h; |( l6 @! P• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth - I& p* e3 X2 m# c/ V
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.

• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 9 n) M4 g9 Z4 `3 M% p% }
• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
