Responsible for the following key functions:

Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives

Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)

Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
5 s4 f$ r9 \1 DProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
! I* Y% w0 I7 i5 h3 _- G, mProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
Developing tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
  L! n- R% R3 H! g2 KExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
) @8 ?* o' a$ @0 UStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Required:
' s1 [" w: z& h& U! V) aExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
6 a& ~) W' b8 \1 I4 i& j2 fExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
& L. d9 ], f% [9 B6 g- v  OStrong SQL skills
