Responsibilities:
) n% }6 U  p% oResponsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
! v2 I& X  u$ X2 @Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
Troubleshooting production issues
. R0 J0 l4 [7 |+ w+ y& ~& MParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
. `6 S7 H# N. N: lMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
! t: c0 g  R/ T0 vDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.

Qualifications:
General:
Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
6 g' U; m$ C: x  rDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
  T# q! W2 `) u9 a! @! g0 Y* a7 h, K9 hStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
Required:
Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
, n, C- P5 C( O" E" tExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
) _$ e3 c* k3 u) w, C, p8 X% ?( GStrong SQL skills
