FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
' E2 `4 I" f. ]4 f# X1 Yand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
% a4 R7 l3 u3 u$ H4 ?resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ) r" S0 k8 A3 x6 g
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 6 P6 M% f5 X$ ?2 p* z7 @

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
" f1 H$ Z, e* |) fFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
' v1 f/ F- h# ?4 H: r5 n9 {- ?well as the script, magazine and book library. 9 L! \1 W- i5 m7 [+ p) H

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library c: @ Z3 h) P4 B. Y$ @
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
" {- t9 f* k$ _7 U- Implement a catalogue template for future use * d% u8 E! A# P# D
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ; }5 u9 [1 M# P8 e
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 y6 H2 q+ Z' C+ P; ^# ?

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
* }% H6 w2 l8 u6 g/ c' f- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts * H( {9 F8 K$ r; q
- Strong organizational skills
! F; n$ U9 A9 E$ `1 x- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
