resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

1 a; r* |1 W8 H* NJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
$ T0 c7 ?, P: M5 ~0 [Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
' d( B7 Z1 W# J( M$ u7 S0 jassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
; w& Q2 C( S0 S; X+ F- H- b, f0 H ! a; l6 b2 o V- T
Duties: ' b6 F0 L5 e1 u) L+ j: I m
- Assist with research on acquisition grants
( j- D0 B- y/ t) K8 Q- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities ' M; C8 j, }, N$ G
- Assist with equipment maintenance
) p( ~; g; Y. g N/ B- Assist with production logistics for programming events 5 y" @+ @5 {9 r/ G8 c
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
" D( N4 r a1 I, {3 s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
# q& ^' g1 S& F/ J' k. ~- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
9 J1 p) m. o2 {- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
! g& }6 G p& k5 d- `- Advance organizational and research skills
3 p9 ]- y x) ^- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD 9 C \/ E, v! A2 `. ^. H r0 W' }
- Strong team player abilities
