Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
6 X/ _( M5 C, s# p# h- Recruit children for summer program
5 a6 i. J% o  d3 ~7 G8 c- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
3 ~* G# q' W4 h4 m  c. O& v" J. W- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency
& g  h" {7 S3 C; Z  @9 c4 I! n* y
Qualifications:
  H) H+ ~* e% A, r$ M5 W
& J$ z7 X- `/ J% A/ c: v' C- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
' f" H! E+ a0 L8 J- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
$ V: G- k0 r$ c; m- leadership abilities
. L- Z' i& e- P  W% s& S" q- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
