Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 0 n( |" a S1 ^) g
provide services for Chinese community

access to mainstream services

- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies. e/ C5 k9 x2 H
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 i/ I' j" c+ ^ k/ B2 f
- update ASSIST website& s* _1 Q* H, F9 l$ d/ q$ p
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
! K3 ?* l: C6 r1 m2 L+ C- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications* e# Z% P" F7 G. }0 g4 H! T) _
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of & |5 S, [. a$ v; ?& {6 o! N2 H
experience and education
& X) e5 Z+ k* o9 s+ h, d- good oral and written Chinese and English skills8 e$ E) T8 W4 b/ b8 z1 m8 B
- experience in community work and immigrant services7 ~3 t9 _. C! y3 d U( [
- experience in website update/design9 J0 x7 y8 [1 @8 |2 m& ^6 S
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
