Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:. H4 N8 g" ?$ V/ z0 r' A
- Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and 7 Q- s( W( C" Z# ~! C- b
implementation of the Summer Camps+ a* k7 T p5 |5 P+ j0 C+ M
- Assist with facilitating the summer program
' X+ A1 l* ] b% p# j$ p- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies6 z( ^, u8 r. _) x7 X# }5 _" I* Z
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator" [8 F7 C, ^4 }( W& z2 s: m4 h
7 O7 D7 W/ e. O9 T. d% \Qualifications:2 d u! G9 t0 C
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
: t. C0 Y4 S# P$ N7 T" W8 y) h) T Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education5 o+ s0 N! }4 j2 O5 S
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
( Q' \; {* p; @ k6 R8 K# j# H- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
3 r" O" j n8 y9 @- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities- ?* G. G/ H3 t/ u1 ]$ W1 w
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
+ Y; s, i1 T& O% M# Y- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense* d' _2 D% X' _

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
6 O2 ?1 d- E% ]2 I and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)* m0 L- A6 b$ D8 t& |; m
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
