Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
) B6 Q! J8 w' a+ x% _0 _- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the ; b. U2 W* J( m7 A
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps4 ~- x, L J J, C) u) X3 G/ F
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
- E( n3 d. h- u* q2 f- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies+ c$ q' |9 d% ^6 @$ d. _
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program 2 ~/ D/ \. y3 S0 [& ~) c
Coordinator
& G6 o( t3 U4 d7 U9 }4 X- l6 C- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager/ H9 O7 R3 n$ o3 }7 S4 D

- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
0 w: f4 O+ g6 r0 K& r Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education; e" f7 R. S6 |% O: C
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children/ J+ L# V2 g1 l
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills' `4 C* K$ K; z
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
: h+ y( b+ G* d7 U0 d' y; h: O- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
5 B* Q) T A' e$ F: {, P( g- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities( s" a" i. y- t' U# {3 K
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) 1 `# V% W6 f, l" o4 F' J
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)+ L ]2 }3 q3 @! q& e+ q
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
