Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

1 Q! C3 m8 I, Y8 m Z$ P; ]- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
6 e* H/ T* o9 @! q- f; D- S (ages 6 to 15) + I \, O# M- R |# x/ K! b
- Recruit children for summer programs
: _/ L& j1 p5 [4 t- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
, t8 a+ h2 L) @9 P9 T- Record keeping
4 r; w& e. \: i# P- Provide orientation for parents
5 I2 O- g' s: P- r: q- q' ^- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency7 O# w7 D' j1 @0 h& A9 g
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

+ j6 n2 |; m: c4 n" K5 |# VQualifications:- {8 K3 h/ z) y% u6 C% L
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
5 |* L2 s# D6 B: V! z2 z- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children6 z j' @$ r- C5 P' K: t7 n, v( o
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills/ N' T- ]9 a% s$ F) N9 G. x
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
2 f9 x. `4 A/ A3 ~( S4 ^# H0 x- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

6 J# ]3 U; ~0 g v: w- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
. Z9 n) H5 {7 P3 }7 F and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
