Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
+ E/ ?. F/ I& u) W (ages 6 to 15) + u3 k' w) _9 N' h8 _0 {, C! h/ J
- Recruit children for summer programs1 B f1 U3 d4 f
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs1 m6 I9 f/ g5 @5 _0 b/ f
- Record keeping! u5 d/ h/ y7 T l( k" Q
- Provide orientation for parents6 a" |. M9 |2 A: d8 f# \
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency

Qualifications:
" H; u$ |# r) u" U- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
, I$ E Q, t* D& |- i- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children6 O: Z) F9 n8 \, N; R
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
# g# @/ }( H2 c; T2 r- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities2 W X0 j- e2 } R' `1 K
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese, U- T$ m0 J9 ~" e1 A$ P2 ^+ X
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities; K0 ^, q: J. ~) ]0 C. W
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Z- b: c; l% H9 }- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 20092 q5 ^8 `4 m( J
