$ J2 o' F- `! R& Z- V" @    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
" E0 j" S  x4 }3 T7 _    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
8 Q+ @! k# L4 n& h$ e7 l. o' Q    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
# P0 U" Y5 ?& ^$ z: e    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
4 F. ~6 B" b$ r. y" ?    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
; s" j  e; H  ~& B  d" ~    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

5 ?  e' {, A, L本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

) o0 R1 e# W) c  ]Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

' J/ i: m  ~; O: g2 w; iti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
