% f% q7 h% \% H$ i# m9 u$ d * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications/ M% l* a2 [' o
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis7 ^. E% C+ B# j) K2 }& t* E
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
( @) a! ]0 K# k# n4 I1 q& V * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 1 c1 ]% ]& q$ ^, v
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

Qualifications
0 L% i8 y+ V* ^0 N' h! [0 l; l4 ]# p, O/ t( I& c
* Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
: U# X- }& g) l, W/ u. H * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required/ }& J2 _' Y1 S% w; l
