* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
! ?/ P2 J6 x( w$ ?% Y& k0 ?. f * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
! x2 _ q+ L0 h; T7 i * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance9 C) ]# w' j9 g, {
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
' _$ y U; V2 ]& a' D * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
