5 B4 p- H, b; I* A ~1 U0 Y* H * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications, G+ z5 m3 a; B: y- V0 v8 O
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis

& a3 q/ k0 y# [- E( Y * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 5 e" P. t# Q/ n, \- R
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
