Duties

    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
7 h( v( x9 `( n3 f: `. A% p    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
$ B) D4 N+ r4 u/ {$ Y    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

1 B% c+ {& y- J7 _7 L本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

- v* s& S2 p& `/ |7 x- A; jSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

5 }# s% q4 P* g! f8 T& t( p& \ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
