Responsibilities:
8 j! j  ?/ x3 w- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
) Q/ F$ h* h# N  g- Recruit children for summer program
* A4 A5 Z* C- t7 R7 K3 N' G* ~+ ]0 H- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
4 O9 h# o& Y, F$ \- Supervise volunteer(s)
7 v& i; p* Y( v0 @- Prepare final report for funding agency

6 K7 Z+ k/ y% r' u/ a+ H8 bQualifications:
+ e: f6 f& Q- g/ }2 m+ Y( a! w2 b
. E! @) v8 v$ S- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
9 R/ X+ c  b; E1 G- communication skills
7 e5 z1 a1 }( [! f& G- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
8 E% O  M% v  _/ @0 G- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
