A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.$ _3 D) E3 m% C0 V
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and

• Standard Child Care First Aid8 P: z* Q' p7 W3 ]5 p/ Z
• WHMIS
" y! A Y& g' ^& \( T9 o• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
4 z/ R& S1 ~8 q$ I• Components to improve communication skills% E/ O; ~" @ p s1 ?1 c
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

. D; Q: Y8 a7 _( P3 wEligibility Criteria
: P3 ~" h# e- V8 g3 ~' v• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen8 Z* o0 P; G( Q
of Canada. V" t. `: E3 f0 O+ `
• have a Social Insurance Number% Q" m7 E2 q. f j5 |1 Y# K
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
! Z" c2 W7 T" j+ Z4 N5 N• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
) s6 k+ }, O- a2 [$ |• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

0 b) Y; Y! ^; RParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet A% Z* m/ d* R2 {3 l1 L- l& ]
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
