A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

, v4 o+ U& D o( ?. e0 F& z# y• WHMIS6 L* z' l* N/ f/ @: ^9 o
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care9 ~# ~( A+ c1 r8 B
• Components to improve communication skills
/ @3 x- J4 v& g2 x6 I+ d: ?( p• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
) m7 { s2 ?* M* s3 {$ S1 o• Practicum Placements
; C2 E9 J! P% G; w8 \+ ^Eligibility Criteria. j4 o# x! X, _9 l4 a) F
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen5 U$ n6 M5 s% h
of Canada- c; I( I& i. S
• have a Social Insurance Number
7 i% u0 C/ W: ]% u• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check. o/ i& X7 p) W% u: k
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
9 v/ `3 e b' P* |• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time
9 ?5 H5 B1 o% k" S/ z' vprogram7 O- b* p* d- U5 r$ f; I
Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet# j9 W" n% P+ m
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:! q: I; ^" c$ N) A& k7 u
• be unemployed or underemployed.
