As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. + q0 v6 n# J$ c( w. c; O9 l
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:
: U( x7 B+ t* r5 C$ ^Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off. ; J, M4 g3 u0 T. C
Create process and data models to visually represent requirements information. 9 e( e0 A+ g) C) M
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing. 6 y+ r; Q9 f: C& |$ C+ I; @
Assist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. " @) K7 _6 L: j9 l6 @5 n
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production. . E2 ?& G$ y% q" x; O0 ~( f
Analyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems. - ^- g) E2 {. e, U
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications. - ]& a! X1 a! \
Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement.
- M7 b/ H% d" ^Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables. 9 k1 q' W- V+ R- p" O
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset1 v& F+ D8 C$ ^ r: p2 t ~
• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.% P. c7 A/ ~( a# _4 ]! q
• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.
