Payment and collection of health care premiums owed prior to January 1, 2009 will continue under these guidelines:' V6 P" V [' S* i Y

1. All Albertans are responsible to pay premiums unless they qualify for premium assistance, government-sponsored income support programs, or are senior citizens.
/ S. w0 w3 o# n& f: Y! S 2. Employers and benefit administrators who register and pay premiums on behalf of their employees will continue to do so.
v* f5 F) ^* W9 o 3. Alberta Health and Wellness will continue to pursue collections from those who fail to pay premiums.
