$ d) R5 W$ u6 r9 R# B; w6 UPosition: Driver, Furniture Donation & Moving Program, FVPC / Context: One of the programs delivered through the EJHS - Family Violence Prevention Centre is the Furniture Donation & Moving Program (FDMP). This program partners with Alberta Job Corps and assists people leaving abusive relationships with free donated furniture/non-emergent moving services. - G7 O% v% J! u9 v
$ f& I' w# S+ H* i" y3 J, L6 p0 GThe Driver is responsible for delivering furniture, picking up donations, moving individuals. The Driver also supervise the swampers provided by Alberta Job Corp who are work trainees.. |% F4 s+ J/ w z+ n* \& U
( s+ j7 m$ M% a( l% g5 ?& U3 z
Qualifications/Skills Required: Valid Class 5 Operators license + Drivers Abstract (no convictions, less than 3 demerit points); 3 years driving experience; previous supervision experience an asset; Criminal & Child Welfare Record Check; able to follow direction (both written/spoken) but work independently; must be reliable & dependable with a proven ability to follow through on commitments; understanding/sensitivity of family violence a definite asset.

Responsibilities/Tasks: Drive truck & complete deliveries, moves, donation pick-ups as directed by the program administrator; liaise with FDMP Client Donor Liaison Worker & Alberta Job Corp regarding general operations and crew supervision; supervise swampers; complete and sign vehicle inspection form daily; follow local, municipal and highway safety regulations and traffic laws; relate in a professional and positive manner with donors and clients. % r8 W: `0 M% e& o3 l8 x: K. s
