Position Title: DRAFTSPERSON
% v1 }9 f* @7 w! D# IJob Description/Duties: Description: The draftperson’s primary role is to turn conceptual design ideas into accurate, illustrative drawing representations. The drawings, that the draftsperson creates, serve the template for fabrication so precision to detail is absolutely essential. Job Functions: Preparation of complicated designs and layouts working from engineering specifications using computer-aided drafting (CAD) methods. Drawings will include: Piping Isometrics; Structural Steel; Process & Instrumental Diagrams; General Arrangements (Layouts); Review of engineering drawings; Analysis of design & retrieval of information as required to complete drawings or designs;Calculation of dimensions, weights, capabilities & quantities;Preparation of “As-Builts”, including retrieval of dimensions to complete the drawings;Drawing revisions as “Red-Lined” by Project Engineering and/or customers; Preparation of Fabrication Drawing Work Packages;Preparation of Data Sheets;Participation in Estimating. Special Skill Requirements: Strong Math Skills. Strong knowledge & experience with AutoCAD. Experience with third-party piping software (preferably Acorn). Knowledge of ASME B31.3 Code requirements. Ability to read, interpret and apply specifications 3D Visualization. The drive for productivity, quality & safety.
