The pain of our loss is beyond anything we could

+ b; i0 P& b# q* g0 j( _> and over again people tell us that they could never
3 A) t9 k3 s1 N; Y4 @> begin to understand the
0 ], K  c4 B* H7 ^  ^> depth of our loss. That is true. But we know of One
/ `( T" I3 ~0 K1 U6 p" m$ r/ m8 M> who does understand and
> feel our pain because He lost His son, too. It
0 Y0 j" \' E  x" i7 R1 P> happened when God gave the
> sinless life of His son ant the cross to redeem
* l' ?4 [2 o& x* @* o> sinful lives and to purchase
% W5 j0 I6 @. y" D" }& D> forgiveness for us all. There days later, He raised
# d5 @* m/ P7 }> His son from the dead
> and conquered death. It is though this event where
% k" g2 X5 k, V5 z9 f> human history was
> intersected by divine grace and mercy that we have
/ F% A6 h9 U- l9 z6 \> hope. This hope, that's
> what's sustaining us. It's not an idle wish, but a
> certainty based on the
> promise of God. And this hope fills us with eager
> anticipation and a longing
> for the time when we shall be forever with the Lord.
> It is this hope that
