Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: ! k: z3 Z* D, {/ C
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
% B; O  R3 T0 q+ L: f8 m) N! x•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
: h/ S' J- D+ x' ^•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
$ Q7 V$ ]. h+ }% s* w•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.$ d0 M1 h" Z2 u7 D+ @3 E
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.3 W  g& H  n7 G6 C" Z0 V
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.* w4 j4 K7 Z' J" K
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.3 }$ J- H, C7 T* x' Y; d* b
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.7 C" h) \# L8 n- j
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
* q* e6 A* z8 K6 G* y' I•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
! p7 G; l& R  s2 _, H- z& T% s; y•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.$ d8 d4 x3 f: U! W3 m( {1 }* l; m
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
/ ?5 L! e$ `* x0 o; b/ Q- C•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.
/ ~- X: T/ i0 ?9 v•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:( C1 H7 ^1 e- H
•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. " ?* I/ Z* I; J" |
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
2 K! b; s3 e4 S/ k2 y•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. ! o6 r! G# E' s) K) t9 {4 c
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
! k$ Z& c  O( _! [4 `! ?•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
