Calder Seniors Drop In Society has an immediate opening for a full time Outreach Coordinator position.
7 ~0 `6 ^* i: i6 K. rReporting to the Executive Director this position is responsible to provide assistance to isolated and at risk seniors; to support seniors to “age in place” in the community and to enhance the overall well-being of seniors within the membership of the Calder Seniors Drop In Centre.
: a2 t, g8 B* n' a4 R1 m3 eQualifications:
4 t# c  l& ~* @: `/ Y1 O•        Diploma/degree in Social work, Recreation/Leisure/Physical Education, Family Studies or a related discipline with training in Program Development and specialty training in gerontology.
& q/ Q% h8 H: C: H7 S; O* h7 r
" o$ N1 ^  R2 r6 W: B# w: H: I•        A minimum of   2-3 years experience in co-ordination and program delivery of seniors recreational, social and leisure programs.

•        Develop and provide programs to increase the wellness and decrease isolation of seniors in Calder Communities.
# B* |* _* \- D5 n" S* I& v
•        Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Premium including; Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point.

•        Provide outreach services to isolated seniors living in the target area
$ m& a9 W, Q; K
•        Coordinate the activities, volunteers, and clients of Calder Seniors Drop In Centre and other outreach programs.

& l3 P2 T: |5 c5 y' i- I( E# h•        Strong communication (written &verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•        Ability to carry out assignments of confidential nature and handle appropriately.

4 D6 X9 p& P. C1 K0 o* d•        Must have a vehicle for use during employment and personal cell phone at their disposal for use during employment.
