9 ~$ ]8 w( o. U    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program8 e, b  r: G# m2 ^6 ]4 x
    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
+ }- l& x: b; X$ V1 ^: H6 z: k    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes; Z, P0 ?  w- \
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
% [" Z  T6 f# C# c: F+ g    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
- l6 U( H9 e* b4 @; ?: O    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
9 J0 a$ ]4 {+ Y5 F% U2 F    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
, R9 @6 a2 t+ P% L    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
! F/ ?7 X1 r$ i" U" u/ I3 {% q    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning( u( X: p2 x; Q. e" w8 d2 V
    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
# n: _- @" M7 r    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
9 n! o. I; M7 M: o# i% I" }4 O    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results5 M" D/ B# Z- C- S5 `
    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
) V/ `2 N- ?; A  X, n' `# ^% K8 q
7 G! F. X& `9 P/ z1 L" H, S+ u    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred+ Q  ]0 ?' w( w( y& {* B% y+ \  X; g
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth- L2 t/ o* a: h5 z
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset: p2 n: d; {1 ]8 J) S0 D
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies) V- o- U; i! ]& h8 P' ?' a
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
& s" [2 W) r, P  g    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning4 r7 V2 r5 f7 }* P3 T
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
+ {6 _7 A0 b4 K& q. V    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills( I5 `, R" x! p! h8 y
