; R7 L$ @8 }' V: f * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program+ R3 g N; `+ @( h
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
( F# C1 k; @) q9 ^0 ] * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
) {: M" v8 D6 ^, A0 N * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat+ v- {$ `3 U- e
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
$ l4 i5 b1 ^, r* D * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
; c- `" {' C0 V8 M, q7 `' C * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
9 k% g4 X) @' Z& h * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director, ] s. e7 U, F% j: e& U4 F# S
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning) S- }* c1 P$ B; r1 e4 h+ l. _
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials0 p* s1 |$ Z( Y* p7 n# B
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media: U- [$ l$ k1 i
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results4 t$ k* S' v4 e% d
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies/ Z) F9 |' |0 s c! t

Qualifications

3 R$ j6 |* m; E$ b2 w1 `3 o) m3 W/ V * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
" c: P& a3 [- w2 G, T2 b3 ]; C * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth5 v5 Y: f& F# b3 t( p
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset1 X T; ~. f2 A; O5 J
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
' \: b) }: B( Q, v+ t * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
, w% z3 W7 Y7 B6 g7 N * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning+ s( x0 W! c f9 L* B
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
