* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program) T) j4 v% O- t$ E2 F& I/ u2 \5 t
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities( U* I* M$ g& }" j9 }3 [4 }
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
; X5 H k- S7 S( Z' N2 s6 g * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat' k) p! J% v' \9 p3 F
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
. C/ Q+ y; C- O; w7 E) `) G * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications- f: F- z9 Y; J
5 \6 s" I" [) H6 O * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred r: f2 X; r @" a; u: K+ h3 F
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
& M6 G5 o) ^0 m9 ^7 c9 f * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset* h2 [! m* A+ ~7 N! c7 c- N5 r8 T
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
