JERUSALEM - Israel is sending disaster relief to China.

9 D3 X- A! s! C- X& Z3 _Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

1 q2 F7 ~) {/ Q( F# BMekel estimated the shipment was worth US$1.5 million and said it was due to arrive in China later today.
