When we were called the Sick Man of Asia, we were the Yellow Peril.
/ f$ k. l4 i; d9 K3 n' K+ H1 _When we are billed to be the next Superpower, we are a threat.

4 M3 S; @0 k$ b6 t. T/ AWhen we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to our markets.
# U+ i  J/ q& V8 v0 OWhen we embraced Free Trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs.

& E, |$ Y' ?! U) A0 D3 W+ `. d7 }+ ?; B- wWhen we were falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your “fair share”.
, x8 @$ b; S/ O& @. I% o2 xWhen we were putting the broken pieces together again, “Free Tibet” you scream, “it was an invasion!”

So, we tried communism, you hated us for being communists
& F! T- ]$ o, O( sWhen we embraced capitalism, you hate us for being capitalists.

9 ~" t0 r% K' ?* ^/ s6 vWhen we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet.
8 J* ]5 G+ T; Y% K2 R: UWhen we tried limiting our numbers, you said it is human rights abuse.

; Q2 e, \( ]5 Z. g* KWhen we were poor, you thought we were dogs.
When we loan you cash, you blame us for your debts.
; ?3 Q& d- S0 u3 F& r
# J2 {8 b4 W) ~2 Q' zWhen we build our industries, you called us polluters.
  K8 o) u3 g& ^, _  ~% HWhen we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming.

* w' D- {( u$ y% c: f# }( F3 [0 BWhen we buy oil, you call that exploitation and genocide.
- w. _: ]1 ?5 m% H! FWhen you fight for oil, you call that liberation and democracy.

When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you wanted rule of law for us.
% O* L% w) _, y+ H2 H0 d" `When we uphold law and order against violence, you call that violating human rights.

When we were silent, you said you want us to have free speech.
When we were silent no more, you say we are brainwashed racists.

( f/ {- A. E# s, j/ E7 DWhy do you hate us so much? We asked.
“No,” you answered, “We don’t hate You.”

But do you understand us?

“Of course we do,” You said,
* N+ F  V+ f; }. _6 X“We have NBC, CNN and BBCs…”

Because you only get so many chances,
3 K& S& r. t, Q- h8 `Enough is enough, enough Hypocrisy for this one world.

. @  W( J* V$ _: p: u0 {! e, U5 sWe want one world, one dream, and peace on Earth.
This big blue Earth is big enough for all of Us.
