What activities will I do during my road test?

You are required to know and demonstrate:

· how to hill park (up or down)

The road test will run the full time unless the Examiner feels that your safety, or the safety of others, is at risk.

and Driver Examination Regulation. They are monitored to ensure they provide high quality road6 g; C4 D4 `. M( c
tests. They should be courteous and professional, keeping conversation at all times relevant to the

What do I bring for my road test?

; Q' r+ M5 o. d; h; ?1 b$ U, a5 k! E· You must have your Learner’s licence. If you have a temporary licence (non-photo)/ C3 l9 a5 k9 \
then you must also provide acceptable photo ID.
* }5 o6 }9 p# {( n: g) K0 w1 D }· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the* Z! o" P" t* J* w" I
weather conditions (in case your vehicle breaks down and you have to wait or walk).
7 D/ a2 I9 m7 i1 W4 w· Your vehicle must meet all legal requirements (good mechanical condition, valid
9 I! m/ c5 V3 q5 o" L0 hinsurance and registration) and have enough fuel for at least one hour of driving.9 G+ l& f5 M E; }9 M" q7 \
· Payment for the test must be made directly to the Examiner or Registry office.

& r: d' g. `, g; e: R( ~demonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield
- e$ W! c* G, d- Dwipers. The Examiner will provide information before you move the vehicle about the route and the instructions

While Driving …

You must not do anything that is considered unlawful, dangerous, or unsafe, (for example, speeding or not4 X3 s6 n4 K' V' E2 q: p- \

· The Examiner will not try to trick you.

· When the road test is finished, the Examiner will highlight the areas you performed well, as well as) N; q7 v! m: {0 k9 c9 |; w
the areas you need to improve upon. The points for errors will be explained at this time.

Alberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this
