$ y3 G4 z# c% j; I! |EDMONTON - Conservative Leader Ed Stelmach signalled Monday he'll ignore a call from some of Canada's largest energy companies to control expansion in the oilsands to protect fragile lands. He also brushed aside a plea from the province's aboriginal chiefs to halt approval of new projects.

I'm in shock, even the energy giants are telling our government to put the brakes on oilsands development and Stelmach still refuses to do anything about it. Is he completely deaf/dumb/blind? I think the majority of Albertans realize that something needs to be done, whatever that something may be. I don't understand how Stelmach feels it is O.K. to be so careless. |
