Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.5 v2 L; G& O9 S! }' E b8 S6 @) I
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker% }( x1 A/ I: y2 _1 ~$ R
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team* \* W0 Z6 X4 k# }1 k- K

- customer service and office clerical experiences

4 h; E' P' z1 P" Q1 C7 i- i2 G, G- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community& u7 y" \$ P( r5 Z0 i9 V( h
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
* U Z) O! L) g/ y8 V) |- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
8 i- ^! g) I: j; l! `: ?0 j- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
0 n: r" G( v% S6 F* @. v- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members7 i3 W# Y+ r$ s- Q2 O+ k" A
- update ASSIST website3 w0 b) A5 P0 n0 P. {3 c9 V5 Q
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
" i! a* {6 O, ]- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
+ K, |& s# r' q4 \- assist in writing proposal for ISP

- hold regular meetings with ISP team { R! X* p+ l$ x* ]
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time! }7 Q3 E' M: q% ?- |9 d
- update membership database

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education - }4 h! h& L( R7 t9 Z7 |
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 y* q) M+ C) c2 l5 y+ T
- experience in community work and immigrant services
