Job Description

- post secondary diploma

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community0 S" f' F o9 E
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
0 p9 x1 Z" b1 O- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services6 B8 k* j8 Y, S5 [- _: q
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies! h2 B+ K. u) l9 g5 Z
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
9 h1 q/ n6 H' F5 c- update ASSIST website
( ~1 y4 e; t8 J% f$ i- k- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
' d4 D- D1 e8 y8 w2 F- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
5 p9 C- {% s( s- Q/ }- assist in writing proposal for ISP
" N9 M* |2 K! M8 u) p- A% a; }- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time$ x" h6 h1 I& R1 E

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- i" U% K0 M' c8 ^4 l- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services
& `1 J* Y" \* d% _- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
