EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。$ l. S4 x3 O* c7 r. I* c8 d

时间:上午9点至12点理论培训,下午1点至4点实习。

- y* K, z) R# a5 j2 M& i% A2 A9 \This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
! I9 r+ ]; ~+ H/ R. Ebecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.( j; ^% G' @8 R# F; F) t! |( W
: x" }2 }2 x9 }: X' B5 lTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials2 P+ Q3 ^. r% U
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different( F I6 L' R: M3 h
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.- a# [* M6 _) Q3 S+ h, {

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
