If the engine oil is frozen, what we can do? Can Block Heater works?

I think the engine oil in my car is frozen. I try to boost it with another car and it 's still not working.

我觉得block heater是管打火的，跟机油没关系。
, Z9 l! h% M) t( ^我的车子前天早上打着火后，机油灯一直亮着。
热车几分钟后就ok了

there are a few kinds of BH that help cars start from extreme cold weather,
5 Z# x3 T/ _9 E- c! P2 h+ i) jbasically ,  BH keep the car warm by heating up the oil pan-which keeps the engine oil from frozen, or by heating up the coolant, and keep the engine block warm.
$ E" `0 p7 ^% lEither way, the engine shall not be frozen with use of BH.
! T. x- p  Z2 V5 Q
If you do not have BH on ur car, by using synthetic oil you can also prevent oil frozen from happening.
A good synthetic oil, 5w20 or 5w 30 , or 3w 20 has a pure point of -30 to -40 degrees.

( o4 }& b% b3 f+ h0 s% N+ ZTow your car to somewhere warm and try to start after a while in warm place, or wait till the weather becomes warmer.

do you think using a hair dryer may help to warm up a car a little bit?

插电加热3小时，一般可以打着车。如果不行，可能电池电量不行了，应该用别的车BOOST。

) q, w& r6 V  A! JBLOCK HEATER是通过加热发动机内的冷却液间接加热ENGINE OIL，降低油的粘度；同时使汽油的可燃性提高。

9 I6 Z1 n3 y& d. [不行用表量量BLOCK HEATER的电阻，应该是50欧姆左右。
