Position: Resource Coordinator / Terms: Full-time / Salary range: $34,000 to $40,000 annually, based on qualifications + plus an excellent benefits package. Closing Date: February 6, 2008.

/ m: H, K$ r% p; A4 M& t4 Y5 DContext: The Edmonton Social Planning Council is a not for profit organization that provides leadership to the community and its organizations in addressing social issues and effecting changes to social policy.

This position is responsible for: managing/promotion the ESPC Resource Library (including compiling & purchasing resources, retrieving/analyzing reference materials, promoting library materials & services, etc.); consulting with community partners about their social research priorities and needs (helping to inform the creation of new research partnerships and projects).2 j" C4 ]% d Z" R

PLUS: assisting with ongoing research projects (in particular, data and information retrieval and analysis, and report preparation) and various other responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in website maintenance.3 N+ x. d! V$ o$ Z$ e9 k( G
8 Z2 F- C# Y: _& b' U3 Y8 kThe successful applicant will: hold a post secondary degree (or related experience) in the social sciences or a related field; have research & analytical skills/experience; possess excellent written/verbal communication skills; be well organized & have confident computer skills.
