ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
& Q6 |1 f; H% \" ~; m+ R' e& Vrecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
5 [  _5 o. c4 f) \% R9 nstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

4 C9 x6 J5 S/ E2 u- v, kQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
) D7 l3 J3 ?1 z4 u4 z0 ]& o: hobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
! |! }/ @6 }/ D3 ^4 f. ]5 g+ hrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
2 m, y( D  Z7 a2 W+ scloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
; t7 ?* H3 @: W: D6 x* E' A! [over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
/ @, t# g1 d7 u% t+ dfunding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
8 {) x  D" E7 P/ F) gsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
