Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
, v2 {! z* f; E) ?& R8 dobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a" _2 p+ y+ @2 s& w' i# N
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification$ L# g+ e; j! L' L
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
2 a# [! v$ s0 `& z+ O2 T, R' a7 Jrequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
3 |8 s- z2 q. K' M' o3 ucloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein: r% t) V: e0 P3 n! [2 n7 a1 K
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification }5 s# I4 v5 r+ M% e
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
, A' g. K' m @5 \; |the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping/ I+ ^ j4 Z& p8 b2 L$ F
accurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated: B: q1 _% { |* C4 o
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
