ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
2 e4 n( F/ h. S" U& QUniversity of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
! _6 X  q6 @6 N  _. ]- S& _to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
# p$ g) D: e. Urequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
7 k2 [# g4 B) T. F2 U% ?4 t* m* A& Mcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
) h" J0 i. l9 q) d3 Jover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
& d) T: O7 Y& b) o# W$ iis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
+ D. C4 X9 k- N6 J9 Fthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
