烤蛋糕

INGREDIENTS:3 T& t2 R3 F/ u7 t5 B
•        1/2 cup butter
# C; R8 J% E- \•        1 cup sugar ' H+ L, b- K" v7 H  Y4 Z2 r
•        1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract( if you like the flavor)
( X# C& l0 s/ y6 y$ E! l•        1 1/2 cups sifted  flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour); ]5 M. M7 [$ ]& W
•        1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3 h  |) x5 u9 Z( T
•        4 eggs, well beaten
) ~3 [- P3 q! N) s  ^- D6 `PREPARATION:
5 \4 h2 G5 d( P8 o4 \4 EBeat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. 4 a7 B( X; _6 ~$ l& y! s
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
$ n* e, A- ]* c) o/ ~6 r6 oBake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.+ G# m  u5 a2 `

9 y7 C* O: n/ a" sMy opinion: ( Sorry . I typed in Chinese the first time, but lost it. No patience to type Chinese again—I am lousy in typing Chinese.), N* m- t; g# r) W8 n) ~# {; w3 A

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe., L/ Y# @  l- i+ x+ \

# A3 o& ~1 e( q8 zFor beating, you can buy a simple Hand Mixer for about $10. It can not only be used for making cakes but also bread, or mashed potatoes(土豆泥)ect.

检查蛋糕是否熟透的办法

牙签,插入蛋糕较厚处,取出,若没粘着什么sticky flour, 就好了。

你若喜欢烤面食的话,一定要有一套量器的。所有recipes 都是用cup, table spoon, tea spoon 做基本单位的。用量不一样,效果绝对不同。
