First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year. L( W) |5 o) N; B
5 d/ N E: [$ B: {The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
# T3 ]2 ~( W7 B" X of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
1 t$ u( C1 G! L! Y/ [) h( { eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese) e+ W& |( F9 N) n0 F* f: e, S9 z) K9 ^
cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and# c5 X- p, C; V+ X. }
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on; J3 o/ _9 S: {$ |7 ]" E
this broad land.
: B" | z! D0 F7 E* ^: B- i2 D ( Q2 m$ @# i) N: H. O( G+ `! M
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to% r8 n5 c) D3 e; S* g6 d' u+ v
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
5 Q3 h3 r% u/ R1 r talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
" z) n/ p5 z+ U8 y4 u; Q2 ] performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show9 m) P! a. @5 G! s, z4 n b f, c
ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
1 d2 i \3 x7 S w0 }, i0 B Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a2 x& m( W' O8 K9 u

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs$ B& f. {5 N7 q9 R
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
7 e' i5 x4 J( ?" t# A1 T7 x( \1 U' ~: ~ stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any# Z. T; H7 [4 H; J9 M9 O
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your, W% D7 q+ F4 E8 W
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up4 I& c7 G; h8 c
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since8 A, O8 q+ g& a X& O# n
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
+ ~. h& A2 H7 g9 Q( V7 E on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system4 ]! L( A# }6 J$ J! n- c" N3 V
control.
