First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

! P2 { N4 q$ E4 gThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
+ e9 i! W2 N# ] of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the' _$ l& }% O4 B
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
! z6 A/ e4 _0 L6 H cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
U0 C3 a( D' U; a customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on; }( n% R1 K% Q% p% `
this broad land.
) D/ r& M1 o/ V# U9 I* ^- i 2 w `! g+ N$ e1 p8 ]1 i' p$ C C
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to0 ?5 G: i' Q" x4 l# ~# p% x/ u
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and; P% `) M6 x: x! v: T7 w0 _' C" a! B, k
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
1 C0 L+ n! z& y/ r performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
* A2 s0 Y& K- m* l4 n" d& u ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
4 ~+ a8 S( k8 r& o4 r/ T3 O Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a2 D+ i9 a9 q: J
lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
n4 Y. |/ `- Y' R sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu), p/ }! h2 `8 P: O) W5 i- q. G
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
3 N r: _3 g7 O9 T: |& H: g performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your. L. F) d6 E! w7 {
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up+ a2 N' H5 l0 s4 d4 `9 Q* A) C
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since
; s6 ^3 ?6 A0 j! S CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.. m- {1 e+ b. x6 ]; E

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also1 K/ J2 B; ~' B- I3 d- Q$ `- A; I
on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system& q1 y; ~ y3 n! }! w
