G2 c9 B* TPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team.

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services: |+ [! H8 L) N) D7 p! v- U
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services

- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.

- assist in writing proposal for ISP" R- \' [& e. v# V. F

- explore new ideas for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

, M: f) p4 t2 T, }- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services
