Senior Agency/Program Manager

• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff2 o3 y2 M7 [$ y- n+ i* f. F

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions% o) X; R3 g" O3 L) ^9 Q0 }
• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services0 j1 l* v s3 }
• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities% P$ x# h+ o" _1 |* f& r
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities- O8 o' ^) }* w& m! D
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
0 } S/ ^( v9 u0 t• communicate the value of the organization to the public
5 D ^- b# L4 w• identify community needs and trends. C+ b5 X& N! F" L- J4 S) d
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
/ g- n$ z# {; D+ A3 r0 e7 `• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
) |2 y9 X6 o+ m• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.; C5 n- s. w! w
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff5 m/ Z' v3 {7 z6 g

- University degree in a related field; ; Z" n- B# m' [" ]+ I8 p
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
' c7 [5 M }& u- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
$ E6 M4 v5 a( X* h! U- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization - z* P1 S W; H+ \; S: F! R
+ \" k: `4 w& R) q& x: ISalary* b/ G4 {, @7 S( Z
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
