• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

Programs/Services

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities8 K6 H. U/ o' ]% |
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders; |3 o) K. t$ N! C! _
• set program priorities and directions : _( o f# D2 N0 d; j
• identify community and user needs and trends

• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

g1 t- f) l: \4 H• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• identify community needs and trends

• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups1 J/ G3 T7 n$ H. N
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.. _ Z1 ?1 b8 H: \
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff r- j, M* g, M( s$ K2 W

Qualifications9 G4 Z1 B9 O- M5 J, e0 P6 k
- University degree in a related field;
- L5 z$ s) M# K- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
7 S1 d" J, X, b( f# w5 }$ m: u- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; ) t2 I7 I! R9 e5 w% O6 k/ d+ j
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 7 {+ G1 X' B# H. Z" o! ~1 Z
, C8 Z8 z' }8 J2 `( D% \0 nSalary
M6 e0 F, a9 t/ [- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
