Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        reports directly to the Board of Directors! N& O7 ]  b' }$ o! a4 ~* E# d
•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals. c# V* J- @" s' s! q+ _
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements 6 l$ l: J6 @+ w: |
•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
$ l2 z4 s) ]( K( U/ H4 H* P•        development and management of the programs budget
6 z1 K4 [# k, M' g•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff2 o3 y2 M7 [$ y- n+ i* f. F
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers3 F, V, T2 h3 p$ t5 _
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions% o) X; R3 g" O3 L) ^9 Q0 }
•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
2 I: j5 y0 I' J% J( M# o•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth  Y+ C; K+ N! D) f5 A+ l
•        meet with staff on regular basis  B+ k% `& X5 S. T* X
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

' [  z; X& n$ i" O$ ]2 gPrograms/Services: r* S2 q5 v( ^
•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services0 j1 l* v  s3 }
•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities% P$ x# h+ o" _1 |* f& r
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
0 w- {( F( f: k% Q' \•        set program priorities and directions
' N: e) ]: Y/ m  A0 K# d/ \+ p•        identify community and user needs and trends
$ d4 r& t" u. t$ g; U" K$ K•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
  r, W* ~$ f2 k1 Y$ r. h. ~' u•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
% Q/ j) C: q" W' O•        maintenance of appropriate reporting; V( x) F8 V1 I7 b, E& c0 |
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required+ V& d) z4 Q3 u; U' F" e7 y, B
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
- X. V. G) X9 O4 _3 F1 @. W8 r•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

  [, W0 f& l. a' y# B6 c& V4 z  LExternal Relations2 l& B0 G, k& t; p" m
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities- O8 o' ^) }* w& m! D
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
0 }  S/ ^( v9 u0 t•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
5 D  ^- b# L4 w•        identify community needs and trends. C+ b5 X& N! F" L- J4 S) d
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
/ g- n$ z# {; D+ A3 r0 e7 `•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
) |2 y9 X6 o+ m•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.; C5 n- s. w! w
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff5 m/ Z' v3 {7 z6 g

8 q% \7 Q: |; S8 J+ f; vQualifications& I  b! ~4 Y4 p/ h: ]$ V) m+ a
-        University degree in a related field; ; Z" n- B# m' [" ]+ I8 p
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
' c7 [5 M  }& u-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
$ E6 M4 v5 a( X* h! U-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization - z* P1 S  W; H+ \; S: F! R

+ \" k: `4 w& R) q& x: ISalary* b/ G4 {, @7 S( Z
-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
