• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

Staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions" ^) p, A+ A8 z0 ^7 j; u
• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators0 Q8 b- X; O4 l! b
• provide opportunities for staff development and growth# o- p5 S- r8 D) {9 {4 C, a
• meet with staff on regular basis

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services- t z% I3 f5 `7 x3 u9 ^+ A; l5 s
• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities7 h; Y, R2 w% J- O. h. e
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends% z' C# H& Q3 T6 W" z
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
. t1 p! X# r, L+ |5 h• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
# ~8 b' J; ]- W2 D- U/ v• communicate the value of the organization to the public
+ _! S x( q3 }5 V/ a+ x3 G• identify community needs and trends2 m A i5 `. u O" G
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
& H) I$ `$ K U5 c• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
; B1 D( p9 j3 Q* B9 T1 m• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.2 Z: [8 U( N7 T. x, Y. {" B/ V
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff$ i# Z, P1 v, Z3 {

Qualifications
5 S+ B& @- i- ~- University degree in a related field; 9 X' k$ u6 P/ a4 {2 r
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;7 ]7 S3 F* e* g+ A% r
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 0 i% f4 B* K+ ~& {" t4 \
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
