Staff

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services; w! W& K* ^% I6 p; y, ?
• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities' i* o; c* S) ^% I9 y9 N
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders5 C. G1 Q# ]' l- A" @ X/ J, q* B
• set program priorities and directions

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

/ B" V3 g* E* f• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities8 b) T5 u3 J3 E( M: t. R$ C
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
- @0 m8 B6 J# o! Q$ g) p& d• communicate the value of the organization to the public" M; F* a8 j& e
• identify community needs and trends1 m7 U/ G/ [3 K1 D/ ?% B7 z9 P
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
9 m! _1 }- \, ^• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
) ~1 f$ j# ^* _! |4 W* ?9 K• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field; " A M; }$ j1 \4 `% c
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;! K, t! Z7 a& [: e- K* B4 o" W6 z
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; " T* G* S7 L g! {0 b
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
/ b- u) k6 A: _0 g; F+ L3 z3 A, i, ]* K" {+ o6 V
Salary
& F! T0 \7 G. k4 V- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
- k" S6 W: V9 b5 v0 a9 x$ [4 v7 {8 W. g# u% c
