• reports directly to the Board of Directors

• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board' F$ V* N# S! g% ] g
• assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

• develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
) ?" O! E- a- P: ]1 D8 U• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends5 r( C1 b2 K# C1 P$ |) D
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

) h$ Y) c- q3 M0 U! z! p( |• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

! q5 S. b8 t! o' g1 [# E• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

External Relations
. u( I1 }- m3 g1 V1 m: e• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities8 ?- y1 ~ f1 ~% D" U
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
7 G$ _+ A, ]: k• communicate the value of the organization to the public/ N$ [4 e! ^" i) p% J
• identify community needs and trends
0 h* R2 c7 B3 L- t$ q! [6 Z• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
) c+ R" } ~6 m• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
+ U( ?8 W% F; Q2 U+ P6 w, _8 a: }9 D• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.! K9 w# }8 }. t6 e# @
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications& k& Y1 l( v. p
- University degree in a related field;
& G0 K! D8 N: i- E- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;# r5 ~/ h# o4 w
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 3 ^2 u( g% X ~% K, q* x# G
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary) @4 c$ _4 s# a) l
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
